Art exhibition

With the exhibition „Tradition and Modernity“ Schloss Lautrach presents two artistic positions that could hardly be more different – and for that very reason interact so excitingly.
Philipp Reisacher combines landscape, light and atmosphere into poetic visual worlds. Manfred Romer relies on expressive abstraction, free forms and powerful color compositions.

The exhibition is open from 15 April 2026 to 16 January 2027 daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Visits on weekends are possible by prior arrangement. All works on display are for sale.

Two visual worlds in dialogue

“Tradition and Modernity” brings together two different approaches to painting:
Nature-related, atmospheric landscape paintings meet abstract, color-intensive compositions.

This creates an exciting interplay of artisanal experience, artistic freedom and contemporary expression. The exhibition invites visitors to discover contrasts – and to experience commonalities in color, movement and mood.

Philipp Reisacher

Philipp Reisacher, born in 1949 in Ottobeuren, has been working for many years as a freelance artist. After training as a church painter and studying in Ulm and Munich, he developed a distinct artistic signature with recognition beyond the region.

His works depict landscape not only as a motif, but as an emotional space: light, color and change condense into poetic compositions between figurative representation and free painterly interpretation.

Vibrant impressionist painting of sunlit trees reflected in shimmering water, warm golden and green hues evoking tranquil lakeside mood.

Manfred Romer

Manfred Romer, born in 1944 in Leutkirch, has devoted himself to painting after a professional life in design, graphics, printing, advertising, as well as marketing and communications.

Today, the focus of his work is abstract art. His works are created spontaneously and without a preliminary sketch. Using acrylic paint, brushes, a palette knife and other materials, he develops free compositions and modern collages in which luminosity, contrasts and the effects of color play a central role.
