Imagine a peaceful place. Surrounded by rivers, meadows and rolling countryside lies Unterallersau. The little village, far from any big-city hustle and bustle, exciting nightlife or hectic activity, invites you to make it your home in a steady serenity.
Everything has run the same way for decades, day after day, year after year, until the day the universally respected head of the municipality, the mayor, is found murdered. A murder in Unterallersau? And the mayor, no less? The senior police constable is faced with a mystery. With his portable typewriter and his lunch box, he sets out to search for the perpetrator. Could the culprit be from the ranks of the close-knit village community? Was it perhaps an outsider, a newcomer, or even a local resident?
